1. Using MixEmergency with Scratch Live, Serato DJ, or Serato DJ Pro you can mix and record your Video DJ sets from your mixer and turntables, or DJ controller. Officially compatible with Serato's software. MixEmergency has a recording system that is second to none.

3. Scratch Live is an outdated software which was compatible with the SL2, and that SL2 can be used with Serato DJ (as a free upgrade) but the SB2 was never sold as being able to control Scratch Live. I haven't tested it, but it may be possible to use the SL2 to unlock Serato DJ and the SB2 to control it without having to purchase a license.

That is for Serato DJ, Serato DJ does not support SL-1. It really sucks that Serato leaves the users of perfectly well functioning hardware behind like that. I can understand no new updates to Scratch Live as far as functions goes but no new updates when it comes to compatibility with new OSs, that's messed up. Apple rolled out their latest operating system, OS X 10.10 Yosemite, earlier this week. It might seem like a great idea to upgrade right away but it may affect your Native Instruments products. There has been some reported compatibility and performance issues between the new operating system and Native Instruments hardware. Today, Native Instruments emailed.

The free upgrade is for Serato DJ Pro Enabled hardware only and is not transferable to Serato DJ Pro Upgrade Ready hardware.
